  1. "Brood" is punctured with resounding bass and skittering breaks, somewhere between early nineties Earthbeat records and the future incarnations of this thing called dubstep. Something like a sickness. Flip to the bright side, "Sunshine" breaks around a central flute motif derived from what sounds like a Roland Kirk improv on Roy Ayers's evergreen "Everybody loves the sunshine" - a funking.
  2. Jun 25,  · Adding too many brood boxes will not implicitly mean that we are doing our bees a favor. In fact, we are not helping them. If the reason for adding more than two brood boxes is a large hive, it is better to split them. After this, we can once again distribute one or two brood boxes to each of the hives.
  3. Boxcutter is an apt title for the songs constructed by one Barry Lynn, from Northern Ireland; the sounds on Oneric are sharp yet utilitarian, rusty and grungy yet dependable. These percussion-riddled dreamscapes (oneiric means "of or pertaining to dreams") reside on the edgier side of the land of IDM, or "intelligent dance music," one of the 5/5(5).
  4. Barry, has restlessly explored a smorgasboard of sonics experimenting with the grime and garage-influenced sounds which are now so en vogue, and early recognition came from tastemakers like J da Flex at BBC 1Xtra and Paul Rose (aka Scuba) at Hotflush Recordings, the label on which Boxcutter had his first release, namely Brood / Sunshine.
  5. Brood definition is - the young of an animal or a family of young; especially: the young (as of a bird or insect) hatched or cared for at one time. How to use brood in a sentence. The eggy history of brood.
  6. The Boxcutter sound is a sort of cosmic dubstep with guitar, flutes and twisting breaks.. but the melodies and production evoke the sort of emotion heard back in mid 90s electronica but the bass attack is purely up to date 01 Tauhid 02 Skuff’d 03 Grub 04 Gave Dub 05 Brood 06 Mossy 07 Rikta 08 Sunshine V.I.P. 09 Bad You Do 10 Silver Birch.

  8. Oct 15,  · Oneric combines the sonics of dubstep with analogue electronics, and Boxcutter's loose limbed playful drum and bass and electronica inspired vision. It's easy to describe it as a crossover album, but the good thing is none of the strengths of the music it toys with are watered down.
